Beginner’s Guide to Serging (Ep 11): Lace Application Foot

written by Sarah

Welcome back to our Beginner’s Guide to Serging! In this episode, we teach you about the Lace Application Foot. This foot is great for applying lace and trim of any size to a raw or finished fabric edge. You can even attach lace to lace using flatlock settings.

This foot has a built-in guide to protect your lace edge from the knife and to keep your trim fed consistently, so you don’t have to worry about the fabric or trim shifting out of place during high-speed serging.

Speaking of flatlocking, this foot really shines when using a flatlock stitch, so make sure to watch Episode 8 if you’re not sure how to make a flatlock stitch.

If you have any questions, leave them in the comment section below. Happy Serging!
