Braiding Foot: For Practical and Decorative Uses

by Sarah

You can embellish with stunning trims, yarn, ribbon, and even rick rack in a flash with the Braiding Foot. I especially love this foot for attaching elastic. As long as what you are adding is less than 5mm wide; you’re in the clear! No idea what 5mm is? You’re not alone. Flip the foot over and use the bottom groove as a guide for ribbon/trim/elastic size. As long as your embellishment fits, you can start sewing! To ensure it’s feeding perfectly, adjust the screw so the front slot fits snugly around you’re trim/yarn/elastic. That’s all there is to it!

I’m so glad I found you! I ordered the part that holds the foot on. It came within a few days and works great. I love your tutorials for the Serger. You were on episode 4. Is there any way I can see episodes 1 – 3? Thanks so much! Alison

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A BOBBIN CASE FROM SEWINGPARTSONLINE.COM. PAID A LOT LESS THAN MY LOCAL DEALER QUOTED, AND CAME IN FASTER. FOR THIS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THESE GREAT TUTORIALS, YOU WON ME. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.

What machine is best for quilting and that will accomodate a snap-on attachment?

Hi Anita! There are tons of machines out there for quilting. It just depends on price range and how often you plan to quilt. Generally, quilters really enjoy machines with extra sewing bed space. Nearly all of our machines work with snap on presser feet. I’ll send you an email with more information to the one your provided, so we can find you the best machines for your needs!
