No Pattern, 10 Minute Summer Top

Welcome back to our Sewing Mini Series! In this series, we bring you quick tips, tricks, and projects to fit more sewing into your week.

This week we teach you how to make a quick and easy summer top. In this video, you'll learn how to make a fitted top and a gathered top. Both take 10 minutes from the first pin to the last seam. Because you'll use knit fabric, you don't have to hem the raw edges. However, if you want to finish the edges, you'll probably need another 5 minutes. The design is based off your own measurements, so it's guaranteed to fit.

I recommend watching the whole video through once, then following it step-by-step to make your top. Once you've made 1, you'll fly through any more you wish to make. Need a summer dress? Just extend the length!

It's one of the easiest ways to make a flattering shirt in no time. Make multiple and you'll have a whole new summer wardrobe. Happy Sewing!
