ADVANCED NEEDLE THREADER
Threading your needle on the Vesta is so easy you can do it with one hand! With just a few easy steps, your needle is threaded and ready to go, so no more straining your eyes or struggling to fit your thread through the eye of the needle. You can use the threader on needle sizes 75/11 through 100/16, but it cannot be used on wing or twin needles. When using transparent nylon monofilament or specialty threads, it's not recommended that you use the needle threader.
PUSH-BUTTON FEATURES™
One-touch buttons make it simple to choose your settings on the Vesta. The seven operational controls allow you to position the needle up or down, cut thread, reverse stitch, reinforce stitches, raise and lower the presser foot, adjust the sewing speed, and start/stop sewing.
QUICK-SET, TOP-LOADING BOBBIN
Changing your Class 15 bobbin just got more manageable on the Baby Lock Vesta. This sewing and embroidery machine features a built-in bobbin winder as well as a quick-set feature. All you have to do is drop your bobbin into the machine and guide your thread through the slot, and the machine will take care of the rest.
Automatic Presser Foot Pressure
The thickness of the fabric is automatically detected, and the presser foot pressure is automatically adjusted with an internal sensor while sewing to ensure that your material is fed smoothly. The fabric sensor system works continuously while sewing. This function is helpful for sewing heavyweight fabrics or quilting.
LCD Color Touch Screen
The full-color liquid crystal display (LCD) screen measures 4.85" by 2.5" and allows you to control all aspects of your Vesta. It displays everything from your stitch count to presser foot recommendations, needle positions, stitch width/length, hoop size indicator, and more. To help maintain the LCD screen if it gets dirty, lightly wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.
THREAD COLOR SORTING
Save time when embroidering with the color sort key. Anytime you are embroidering the same design more than once in the same hoop, the color sort key rearranges your embroidery order, so you don't have to stop for thread changes as often.
PROGRAMMABLE JUMP THREAD TRIMMING
The thread trimming function will automatically trim any excess thread jumps within the color, saving you endless amounts of time. You can even select the length at which jump stitch trimming starts. Having the Vesta automatically cut your jump threads after each individual color segment keeps your embroidery looking neat and prevents those tiny threads from sticking up.
ON-SCREEN EDITING
Babylock's Vesta allows you to edit almost any aspect of your designs with the built-in software. You can resize up 20% and down 10%, rotate, edit fonts, move, create mirror images, and more directly on the LCD screen. As you make these changes, you can see them update live on the screen. Other editing functions include the ability to adjust your thread colors, edit each character individually, and change spacing and fonts.
LARGE EMBROIDERY FIELD
With the Vesta's large embroidery area, you won't be confined to what designs you can create, plus you won't have to stop and re-hoop as much. The machine has a 6-1/4" by 10-1/4" embroidery area and can sew upwards of 850 stitches per minute. The Vesta has a stitch capacity of up to 200,000 stitches in a single design with a 9-point trial checkpoint. You can save your embroidery designs to the 1MB of storage built-in the machine or on a USB stick. Supported embroidery file types: .pes, .phc, and .dst.

This software allows you to easily move .pes, .phc, .phx, and .dst files to your machine while also organizing your design library. You can create new folders, transfer/copy files to new locations, change file names, or delete files you no longer need. Quickly search for an embroidery design by title, format, stitch count, size, etc. Review embroidery design info such as size, estimated sewing time, and number of colors.
ADVANCED PIVOTING FEATURE
When sewing circles or corners, being able to change directions smoothly is a must. Turn corners, follow curves, and maneuver around appliqué shapes easily when the pivot key is selected. Once the pivot key is activated and you push the start/stop button, the machine stops with the needle lowered (in the fabric), and the presser foot is automatically raised to an appropriate height. When the "Start/Stop" button is pressed again, the presser foot is automatically lowered and can keep sewing. This function is useful for stopping the machine to rotate the fabric.
