Welcome back to the Beginner’s Guide to Sewing! If zippers give you the shivers, then you’ve come to the right place. In Part 1, we go over the anatomy of a zipper, the different kinds, and how to insert a Standard Closed End Zipper, Invisible Zipper, and Exposed Zipper.
There is a ton of information (like always), so we broke this video into 2 parts. In part 2 (release next week), you’ll learn all about buttons, snaps, grommets, and velcro.
Remember, there is more than one method for installing zippers. These are the ones that work the most for me. If you have any of your own zipper tips and tricks, leave them in the comment section below- we love to hear from you!
Feel Free to use this video as a reference and browse to the section you need. Follow this index:

06:33 Invisible Zipper
13:15 Exposed Zipper

Thank you you were precious. I am a young 73 yr old and retired and learning to sew again. I am having a fun time laughing at myself. So many things are so often forgotten but easily replaced
Great instructions again!
Nicely done, Sarah! 🙂
