Each Friday we’ll be sharing products we just can’t live without. Accessories and tools that will revolutionize your sewing and craft room by making tasks easier, faster, and work 10 times better.  And all for under $20!

Today’s “How Did I Ever Live Without This” product is Hugo’s Amazing Tape

You have GOT to try this stuff. It’s basically a combination of every thing you love about rubber bands, Velcro, scotch tape, and duct tape – without the cons.

Reusable – It sticks to itself, but leaves no gunky adhesive residue. I don’t know how this is possible, but clearly some work of magic is at play.  This means you can finally keep those thread tails in check by wrapping up those spools. And unwrapping, And re-wrapping – using the same piece of tape. Waste not!.

Strong Hold – You know how duct tape revolutionized home repair, car repair, and , well, everything else? Well step aside duct tape, because Amazing Tape does it better. It holds up to 250 LBS and acts as a sealant. You can use it inside or outside – and it’s the only tape that holds up in the freezer. Use it to keep paint, glue, and glitter from leaking.

Clear – Quilters love this stuff because it holds their rulers in place better than those silly rubber feet. It’s a great way to keep strips and blocks safely bundled together without damaging the fabric. You can also write on this tape, which is a great way to keep track of how many yards are left on a particular fabric or for keeping track of pattern pieces. It’s a great way to safely keep notes on each project.

What are other Sewing Enthusiasts and Crafters saying?

” I use Hugo’s Amazing Tape to keep my pantographs rolled neatly so they stay nice and flat and do not get crunched.  It keeps the corners from curling outwards and they are just like new when I use them the next time.” – SuperiorThreads

“When I brought her threads home with me I fell in love with the tape she had around the spools.  I knew I had to have more Hugo’s Amazing Tape.  It keeps your threads from tangling and those loose tails from being annoying.  (I know you know what I’m talking about…LOL)  You can also use it for marking seam allowances on your sewing machine….no more adhesive on the plate or table”. – IHaveANotion

” My conclusion is this is a great product and something that every quilting, sewing and embroidery enthusiast should have in their stash and home.   The more I use the tape, the more ideas I come up with ways to use it.  And I love the ability to reuse any piece of this tape that I’ve previously used.” – SewCalGal

“I love this stuff! Some of my threads have caps that will hold the thread ends, but many don’t. I use Hugo’s Amazing Tape rather than the caps that hold the ends because the tape is so easy to use and reuse and keeps my thread dust-free.” – QuiltersReview.com

“Shortly after purchasing my cutting table, I pushed it to one side in my sewing room and broke the table leg.  Not wanting to tell my husband what I had done, I used Hugo’s Amazing Tape and actually fixed the table leg.  This was several years ago and it is still holding strong—no wobbling.   Have also used this tape to hold my supply cases shut when traveling to and from classes” – SuperiorThreads
