I just got a Necchi BF Nova (1953) and the motor wires are crumbling so i wont be plugging it in to anything. Do you carry a replacement motor for this machine?

Hello Vicki, I do not see that we have a motor coming up noted for a Necchi BF Nova, but there is definitely a possibility that a generic motor would work. I would recommend consulting with a technician before purchasing a motor though!

I hope you can help me. I bought a beautiful Free-Westinghouse Model ALC from a thrift store the other day. This machine looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Most of the wiring has been updated EXCEPT for the power cord to the motor. Problem: the motor is fully encased. We have not been able to figure out how to remove the case to get to the motor.

So my husband and I replaced the motor in our singer 3116 simple sewing machine, and now it only feed/sews in reverse. If place a scrap fabric under the pressure foot it bring the fabric to the front when I press the foot, and if I hold the reverse lever it also brings the fabric to the front… We took out motor model HF-07150 and the same motor pulled out of a singer 3116 simple machine off ebay. Any thoughts would be welcome! Thank you

Hi Sarah ! I have been struggling with a tiny screw on the pulley of the motor of my White superlock 534. The motor is not working amd I suspect I need to change the carbon brushes and clean the commutator but unfortunately I cannot access those parts without removing the shell casing that is being held in place by the pulley and that blasted tiny screw keeping it in place. Do you have any advice for me? I feel like I’ve tried everything from WD40 on the screw, rubberband trick, impact screwdriver. Please help

Which sewing machines use a clockwise motor? I accidentally ordered one, and don’t know if I have any machines that it will work on. Can the direction be reversed?

Hi! Many sergers use clockwise motors. I don’t know that they can be reversed.

I put the wrong type of light bulb in my Kenmore 18021. Something shorted and the power/light switch doesn’t click. Would a new power switch fix this? Do you carry one?

Hi, Casey! Is the light working when you put in the correct light bulb?

No, and the machine won’t run when I push the pedal. It’s like there is no power.

Hi, Ashley! I don’t have a motor that I can guarantee would be compatible. However, one of our customer service reps informed me that this motor may work: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/motor-alphasew-high-speed-na35l-hs.aspx
If it doesn’t work, you can return it.

Hi, David! I am sorry, but we are no longer able to obtain your motor from any of our suppliers. We do carry a few generic options if you would like to try one. Please note, they are not guaranteed for your machine. If you wish to try one and it does not work, you are welcome to send it back for a refund; you would just be responsible for the return shipping:

clockwise motor: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/motor-alphasew-na35l-r.aspx
counter clockwise motor: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/motor-alphasew-na35l.aspx
counter clockwise high-speed motor: https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/motor-alphasew-high-speed-na35l-hs.aspx

Most machines use a Counter Clock-Wise motor.

To determine this:

-place fabric under the foot
-manually rotate your handwheel towards you
-if the fabric feeds back, it is a counter-clockwise motor
-if the fabric feeds towards you, it is a clockwise motor

I hope this is helpful! Have a great day.

I have a bad switch on a singer model 111W153. Is there a wiring schematic for this machine. When I bought the machine the switch was not working all the time. It had a regular light switch with a red light. I bought a switch just like it but it didn’t work. It seems like they are running the neutral through the switch. there is a red, white and black wire. It is pedal controlled. I would appreciate any help I could get.

Thank you
Rick Jesser

How do you replace the belts on Bernina 530-2 record sewing machine?
I could not find a view for getting the belt over the top pulley. Thanks Kay

Hello Kermit. According to my technician you can keep taking off covers until you have a better view of the pulleys. Also the motor pulley should be adjustable in order to help you put the belt on.
