My Brand New Singer 4423 Heavy-Duty Sewing Machine that I bought in December 2017 from Create and Craft broke the first time I dropped the feed dogs to try sewing on a button on thin pj material. I phoned Create and Craft who said they do not repair anything they just sell and said send it back for refund in original Singer Box (which I have) and the outer shipping carton (which I did not save as I really expected this machine to perform as it was and is advertised. Not being able to get around very well due to age and infirmity I had to wait till I could get to stores to buy a box to send it back in. Only had 30 days from receipt of machine for refund. Thirty days over with in Jan. Now it is Feb. Finally decided to take it to a Singer Authorized Center for repair which I must pay for out of my pocket as Singer who I phoned at their corporate office help number said I did not purchase it from one of their listed retail dealers (Create and Craft) therefore my warranty/guarantee of service is null and void!!!!! Now I am hoping that the repair place I took it to yesterday February 2, 2018 will be able to indeed fix the feed dogs which because they would not come back up again made the machine totally useless to me. I sew, I do not embroider and I certainly do not make my own patterns at this stage of my life. I will never ever purchase another Singer or any other sewing machine if this one cannot be fixed. Advertising must have become corrupt along with so much of this old world we inhabit.

I’m so sorry to hear what you are going through! We’ve heard from many going through the same situation with Singer. I hope it gets resolved!
