Ever bought some fabric and completely forgot to check the label? Now, you’re wondering if it really is wool, or just a great wool alternative. Same applies to everything from linen to silk and every fabric in between. Knowing the real fiber content of fabric tells you how you need to take care of that fabric. For instance, a delicate silk needs to be treated differently than a polyester imitator.
This is a MUST KNOW test for all us sewers who roam thrift stores, yard sales, and estate sales. Know the content before you buy. It may be the difference between paying the right price or missing out on a great find.
