60 Built-in Stitches
One-step Buttonholes
Included in the 60 built-in stitches are 6 different buttonhole styles which can be sewn out automatically with the press of a button. Simply place your button in the automatic buttonhole foot, and the 3160QOV will stitch a buttonhole to the precise measurements of your selected button.
Superior Plus Feed System (SFS+)
Janome's SFS+ has many advantages including a box rotation vs. elliptical, adjustable foot pressure, and a jam proof bobbin case. In addition to the seven-piece feed dog that makes up the superior feed system, the superior PLUS feed system moves in a box motion. Unlike the elliptical rotation of other feed dogs, a box rotation provides a more controlled feed.
Free Arm
Remove the accessory compartment to access the free arm. This narrow arm is the perfect shape for hemming sleeves, pant legs, and other cylindrical crafts.
Drop Feed
Janome's 3060QOV has a built-in lever that, when pressed, automatically lowers the feed dogs so you can quickly switch to free motion quilting.
Foot Pressure
Adjusting the presser foot pressure depending on your material will ensure precision stitches on all fabric types. Thin fabrics need more pressure, while thick fabrics, such as fleece, require less pressure.

Presser Foot Lift
On the 3160, you can raise the presser foot about 1/4" (0.6 cm) higher than the normal up position. This extra lift allows for easy removal of the presser foot and makes it easier to sew thick or heavy fabrics like denim or quilt layers.

A built-in needle threader is a must-have if you never want to struggle to thread a needle again. This key feature on the 3060QOV takes out the guesswork, near-misses, and frustration!
