Air-Threading Loopers

Serger owners know the trickiest part is threading the serger, so Juki has built-in air-threading for the upper and lower looper threads. Using this feature, you can thread your MO-2000QVP quickly and effortlessly. With the push of a button, a whoosh of air from the electric motor blows the thread down and right through the looper's eye.

Easy Thread Tension

Thread tension should be properly adjusted to suit the various types of work. The ideal tension setting for most fabrics and threads is between 3 and 5. However, this can vary quite considerably with special threads. Only use decorative threads in the looper. The thread must move easily and without resistance through the looper's eye. Unlimited tension adjustments can be made from 1 to 9. To lower the tension, turn the dial downwards, and to increase the tension, rotate the dial upwards.

2/3 Thread Conversion

Switching to 2/3 thread sewing is simpler than ever on the MO-2000QVP. Simply push the 2/3 thread changeover attachment mounted on the upper looper to the left. This feature is convenient for carrying out 2-needle overlocking, coverstitch (flatlock), or 2-thread hemming.

Safety First

The built-in safety device is a feature that stops the machine from sewing if the looper cover or cloth plate is open or if the presser foot is raised. Ultimately preventing accidental operation of the serger.

LCD Screen

No more searching through your manual. Serging on the MO-2000QVP is simplified thanks to the informational LCD Screen. Easy set-up instructions, such as tension settings for the 15 different stitches, can be found readily available. Deactivating Upper Knife

The knife system on the Juki MO-2000QVP performs with a firm drive to guarantee consistent and smooth cutting for both light and heavy-weight fabrics - so that all fabric edges are trimmed safely and professionally.

To carry out sewing without cutting the material, simply deactivate the upper knife by turning the upper knife changeover knob to lower it.

Presser Foot Pressure Dial

Increase or decrease the presser foot pressure by simply turning a knob for optimum feed of all fabric weights. Depending on the material, apply more pressure on lightweight fabrics to keep them in place below the presser foot with the (L) setting. For heavyweight materials, reduce the pressure so the fabric can slide more easily between the foot and the needle plate with the (H) setting. For normal pressure, use the (M) setting.
