This Janome walking foot is working great. The only drawback is that the adjustable bar sits in a plastic groove which can break. I had to order this new one because my last one broke.

I needed a new even feed foot because I broke mine when I tried to insert the quilting guide. And now I can't make the quide fit into this new one. Originally I thought you just snapped it down into the opening and that's when I broke the tabs that should hold it in place. I'm going to take this new one and my quides back to the store where I bought my Janome and have the owner show me just exactly how to make it work. in the mean time if I need to quilt a placemat or two I'll continue to use the marking pens that fade away over time.
