The Clear 1/4" Piecing Foot is perfect for achieving precise 1/4" (6 mm) or 1/8" (3 mm) seams, making it an excellent choice for piecing, echo quilting, and stitching close to appliqué or embroidery. Its transparent design provides clear visibility, ensuring accuracy when sewing in the center of the fabric.

How to Use:

1. Attaching the Foot and Threading the Machine Snap on the Clear 1/4" Piecing Foot. Use sewing thread or invisible thread for the top thread and sewing thread in the bobbin. Select Needle Stop Down for ease when pivoting.
2. Using the Red Alignment Marks The foot features red markings to help with fabric placement at the beginning, corners, and end of stitching.
   To start 1/4" (6 mm) from the fabric edge, align the edge of the fabric with the front red mark on the foot.
   To start 1/8" (3 mm) from the fabric edge, align the fabric with the second red mark from the front.
3. Pivoting for Corner Turns When pivoting 1/4" (6 mm) from the end, stop sewing when the front red line aligns with the fabric edge. With the needle in the down position, DESIGNER™ Series machines will automatically stop in Pivot Position. For other models, raise the presser foot manually and turn the fabric.

Once repositioned, you will be exactly 1/4" (6 mm) from the edge of your appliqué, embroidery, or quilting area, ready to continue sewing with precision.
