The HUSQVARNA® VIKING® Coverstitch Hemmer Attachment effortlessly turns under a 1-inch (25mm) hem, creating a perfectly straight finish without the need for extensive pressing. It’s ideal for achieving professional hems on light to medium weight woven and stretch fabrics, ensuring clean, even edges every time.

How to Use:

Choose the Coverstitch Setting wide, narrow, or triple – and set the stitch length to 3.0.
Attach the plate Place the attachment plate on the machine and secure it using the two screws.
Position the Hemmer Place the hemmer on the attachment plate and adjust it to the far right. Secure it in place with the two thumb screws and washers.
Prepare the Fabric Fold under a 1" (25mm) hem and finger press the first few inches to hold it in place.
Position the Fabric
Slide the fabric right side up into the hemmer from the right-hand side, allowing the hem to curl under the attachment.
Raise the presser foot and pull the fabric straight back 1-2 inches (2-3 cm) behind the needle.
Lower the presser foot and turn the hand wheel to make a few stitches, securing the fabric in place.
Start Sewing
Sew a few stitches to check the coverstitch position.
If adjustment is needed, loosen the thumb screws and move the hemmer to the left for the desired needle position.
Test on a scrap fabric before sewing the actual project.
