The Schmetz 130/705 H-J SPR Jeans/Denim Spring Needle is designed with a wire coil around the shaft and functions as a presser foot that depresses the fabric as the needle goes down and releases the fabric when the needle raises. This Jeans/Denim Spring Needle allows you to free-motion quilt on your machine and stitch monograms in an embroidery hoop without the need for a presser foot. The built-in spring replaces a traditional darning foot while giving you better visibility while sewing. These needles can be used in household sewing machine brands where needles with a flat shank are required.
