It simultaneously stretches, guides, and stitches elastic 6 to 12 mm wide—perfect for creating gathers in activewear, lingerie, and other garments requiring flexible fit. How to Use:
- Adjust the Stretch Setting Turn the dark grey numbered dial so the desired number lines up with the small metal arrow. Tip: A higher number stretches the elastic more. The stiffness of the elastic will affect the final result.
- Lift the Roller Gently push the dark grey roller toward the dial and lift it up.
- Insert the Elastic Slide your elastic (6–12 mm wide) into the longer slot at the base of the foot.
- Align the Roller Rotate the roller until its center groove matches the width of the elastic. This keeps the elastic feeding straight.
- Secure the Roller Press the roller down onto the elastic and click it into place by gently pushing it away from the dial.
- Attach the Foot and Set Your Stitch
- Snap the Elastic Foot onto your machine. Select a regular zigzag stitch, adjusting the width to fit your elastic and the length based on how much gathering you want.
- Engage the IDT™ System Turn on the Integrated Dual Feed for smooth, even fabric feeding.
- Sew Place your fabric under the presser foot and begin sewing. As the machine stitches, the elastic is stretched and stitched in place—gathering the fabric evenly as you go.
