The Free Motion Ruler Foot is designed for precision quilting when used with ruler templates, allowing for consistent 1/4” spacing from the template edges. Its perfectly circular shape ensures smooth, even stitching, while the red markings indicate the center of the foot, making alignment effortless. The cutouts on the front and side provide enhanced visibility up to the needle, giving you better control and accuracy while quilting intricate designs.

How to Use:

1. Attach the Foot Loosen the presser foot ankle screw completely and remove the ankle. Place the Free Motion Ruler Foot around the presser bar and secure it with the screw.
2. Thread the Machine Thread your machine as usual.
3. Select Stitch & Mode Choose a straight stitch and set your machine to Free Motion Ruler Foot mode. The feed dogs will drop automatically.
4. Start Sewing Sew along the edge, allowing the flange to maintain an even distance for precise and professional results.


Note: When the feed dogs are dropped, the fabric is no longer fed by the machine. You must move the fabric manually.



5. Position the Fabric & Start Sewing Place the fabric under the foot and lower the foot. Take one stitch to bring the bobbin thread to the top. Hold both threads and sew a few securing stitches.
6. Align the Ruler Slide the edge of the ruler up to the foot. Apply gentle fingertip pressure on the ruler to keep it in place while allowing the foot to glide smoothly along the edge.
7. Sew Along the Ruler Guide the foot along the edge of the ruler for precise quilting. When reaching the end, stop the machine, lift the presser foot, and reposition the ruler to continue stitching.
8. Reposition as Needed When changing positions, stop the machine, adjust the ruler, and continue stitching in the desired direction, following the ruler’s edge for perfect, consistent designs.
