The "Basics" kit was created based on what specific shades of the rainbow are used most frequently by sewists. The reds, yellows, and oranges are primary and vibrant. The greens, blues, and earth tones are subdued- making for a color store that covers, well, the basics. Even better, the thread has been mercerized which minimizes shrinkage, locks the dye into place to prevent bleeding, and gives a silk-like sheen.
