60 Built-in Stitches:
Choose from 60 built-in utility, decorative, and buttonhole stitches. Janome's 3160QDC comes equipped with all the stitches you need for quilting as well as general construction.

One-step Buttonhole:
Included in the 60 built-in stitches are 6 different buttonhole styles, which can be sewn out automatically with the press of a button. Simply place your button in the automatic buttonhole foot, and the 3160QDC will stitch a buttonhole to the precise measurements of your selected button.

Memorized Needle Up/Down Button:
Select this button to raise or lower the needle. The machine will remember the designated needle position between sewing segments. This feature prevents fabric movement when sewing curves, corners, and other projects that require frequent adjustment of the presser foot.

Lock Stitch Button:
Press this button at the beginning and end of each sewing segment to prevent your stitches from coming undone.

Start/Stop Button:
The Start/Stop button can be used in place of a foot control. Set the desired sewing speed using the speed control slider, then press start. Press and hold the button while sewing to instantly slow the stitching. Press the button again to stop sewing.

Auto Thread Trimmer:
Save time and thread with this convenient feature. After sewing and lock stitching, press the thread trimmer button to trim both the bobbin and needle thread.

Free Arm:
Access the free arm by removing the accessory compartment on the 3160QDC. This narrow arm is the perfect shape for hemming sleeves, pant legs, and other cylindrical items.

Onboard Storage:
Located in the extension table is a small storage area that is ideal for storing bobbins, presser feet, thread, needles, and more.

Snap-On Presser Foot Compatible:
Easily switch between presser feet with the press of a button.

Drop Feed
Lower the feed dogs to free-motion quilt or sew buttons. To lower the feed dogs, merely flip the lever located underneath the free arm bed on the back of the 3160QDC, and you are ready to sew.
