How to Use:

1. Thread Your Machine Use regular sewing or decorative thread in the needle and regular thread in the bobbin.
2. Select Your Stitch Choose a straight stitch with a 4 mm twin needle, or try a wide, right-justified decorative stitch. Tip: Decorative stitches that move forward work best—avoid those with lots of reverse motion.
3. Prep the Base Fabric Fold a 1/4" (6 mm) hem to the wrong side of your base fabric and lightly press it in place with your fingers or an iron.
4. Load the Fabric and Edging With right sides facing up, slide the folded base fabric into the left guide and the edging into the right guide on the foot. Make sure both materials feed smoothly through the foot's channels. Note: Lightweight, stable fabrics and trims yield the best results.
5. Attach the Foot Snap the Join and Fold Edging Foot onto your machine.
6. Engage the IDT™ System If your machine includes the Integrated Dual Feed, turn it on for even feeding.
7. Start Sewing Sew at a slow, steady pace for best control. Use your left hand to gently guide the base fabric and your right hand to guide the trim. Adjust your speed setting if needed to maintain even stitching and alignment.
