The Free-Motion Echo Quilting Foot offers enhanced control and visibility while you quilt. Its wide base maintains solid contact with your fabric, giving you steadier movement and more accurate stitching. With 360° visibility and easy-to-follow vertical, horizontal, and circular markings, you can echo quilt, trace patterns, or follow free-motion designs with ease. Perfect for stitching straight lines or gently curving motifs in any direction!

How to Use:

1. Disengage the IDT™ System Turn off the Integrated Dual Feed if your machine has it.
2. Remove the Presser Foot Ankle Loosen the presser foot ankle screw completely and take off the ankle.
3. Attach the Echo Quilting Foot Fit the Free Motion Echo Quilting Foot around the presser bar and secure it using the included screw.
4. Thread Your Machine Thread both the top thread and bobbin as you normally would.
5. Select Your Stitch Choose a straight stitch for best results.
6. Activate Free-Motion Mode On your PFAFF® machine, set it to Sensormatic Free-Motion Mode. The feed dogs will automatically drop.

Note: With the feed dogs lowered, you’ll guide the fabric manually—so you control the stitch length based on how fast or slow you move it.


7. Bring Up the Bobbin Thread Take one stitch to bring the bobbin thread to the top. Hold both thread tails and stitch a few securing stitches in place.
8. Start Quilting Use a consistent sewing speed and move your fabric smoothly. You're in full control of stitch length and direction!
9. Echo Quilt Your Design Stitch around your chosen motif, appliqué, or pattern, maintaining an even distance for a clean outline.
10. Add More Rows Stitch additional echo lines around the first, using the red markings on the foot to keep spacing uniform.
11. Repeat as Desired Continue stitching until you've achieved the level of echoing or fill you want.

Note: In Sensormatic Free-Motion Mode, the presser foot will rise and fall with each stitch at low speeds—holding the fabric firmly in place. At higher speeds, it floats over the fabric, allowing for smoother, faster quilting.
