A popular foot with patchworkers for that essential 1/4 inch seam. The guide on the foot enables you to sew a perfect 1/4 inch seam every time. The guide can also be used wherever a 1/4 inch seam is called for but the markings on the needle plate cannot be used, such as when completing a flat seam.
Benefits of 1/4" Foot
- The small needle hole prevents the fabric from puckering.
- Flat bottom ensures that the material will make good contact with the feed dogs.
- Guide on foot makes it easy to obtain a 1/4" seam allowance. Place the edge of the fabric against the guide while you sew.

It did not fit a Singer Quantum Stylist 9960, and I had to return it. But the company was considerate to pay the shipping and send the return verification form which was appreciated.
Perfect quarter inch! Good sturdy pressed feet
I have several machines. I already had two 1/4" feet but I have friends who come to piece on my machines so I decided all my machines need their own. It works great and I find that my blocks are sew much more uniform!! Love them!!

This is a more accurate quarter inch foot than the FACTORY one that came with my Janome. I have been sewing accurate seam allowance’s and block sizes since I bought my first one. Oh this is the second one, I’m putting it in my traveling machine. That way I can be accurate wherever I am.
