Schmetz HLx5 High-Speed Needles have a chrome shank designed specifically for high-speed professional quilting machines. This Schmetz needle features a short shank and a slightly rounded needle point. The shank diameter of these needles are only 2mm. These HLx5 needles are appropriate for all common fabric materials, such as jersey, denim, fake fur, and fancy fabrics. DO NOT use Schmetz High-Speed Needles on regular home sewing machines.

Most Schmetz Needles include two color-coded bands just below the shank. The top color indicates the type of needle, and the lower color indicates the size. The Schmetz High-Speed Needles do not have a color code. Schmetz HLx5 High-Speed Needles is a pack of five needles in a plastic case that slides shut for safe storage. The needle system, needle type, and needle size are printed on the front of the case.
