Sewing 101 is a welcoming, beginner-friendly class created for new sewists and anyone who wants a helpful refresher on the basics. During this 4-hour class, you will be introduced to foundational sewing skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.

This class is designed to help take the intimidation out of getting started. You'll build confidence at the sewing machine, learn helpful beginner tips, and gain a stronger understanding of the basic techniques needed for future sewing projects. Whether you are interested in quilting, garment sewing, home décor, or simply learning a new creative skill, Sewing 101 is a great first step.

We'll take an hour break for lunch at noon.

The class fee includes the basic supplies needed to participate.

She has been sewing since childhood, with experience in quilting, clothing, bags, and other handmade projects. With a laid-back teaching style, Cynthia encourages questions, experimentation, and learning at a comfortable pace so students can build confidence and enjoy the creative process.
