Use it as a topping to prevent stitches from sinking into nap, pile, or coarse weaves, or as a backing for designs with fill areas, appliqué, or monograms. While not recommended for lace or small open designs, Clear N' Melt is the perfect choice for embroidery that needs a smooth, polished finish without the mess of rinsing.

Important: Never use a hot iron.

How to Use as a Topper:

1. Place a sheet of Clear N’ Melt on top of the fabric as you hoop, or hoop the fabric first and then add the topper.
2. If your embroidery machine offers a basting stitch, use it to secure the topper in place.
3. Stitch your design as usual. When finished, tear away as much of the excess stabilizer as possible.
4. With a dry hand, press a low to medium heat iron directly over the stabilizer area. Move the iron back and forth until the film dissipates into fine particles that can be brushed away.

How to Use as a Topper:
