My Elna Supermatic went from sounding like a car to sounding like a sewing machine. It sews beautifully!
Perfect fit for a vintage Elna machine. It is a bit slippy and hasn't got the same grip as the old one. But after some online searching, most people say it get better the more you use it.
Delivery was timely and updates were available as needed.
Thank you team.
I recently bought 2 Elna Supermatic sewing machines (1953, 1958). Both had flat spots on the drive wheel and this replacement really smoothed out performance. Thanks for keeping them in stick.
I am surprised that parts for a 1955 Elna Supermatic are available.
The first one I didn't know about drilling a larger hole for the locking pin and the part disintegrated.
I drilled the new one and seems OK.
This is the second friction pulley that I ordered this month. Both pulleys cracked while sewing. Bad parts and at 25$ each I am very upset with the quality and will not order this part from you again. I would like a refund if possible. Order numbers 31831529 on 9/9/24 and 31837053 on 9/21/24. Part #722077.
Your business was the only place we could find a supplier for the part. My Mother purchased the machine in 1955.
I removed the flywheel to take the Photo and found the portion where the split pin goes through it was starting
to disintergrate. The friction wheel was OK.
I have only used the machine to shorten some overall legs.. So that is disappointing.

Customer brought in her mother’s old Elna Supermatic to get it in working order, again.
The drive wheel developed flat spots as the result of a poor design. This causes a wild vibration(s) when operating.
The machine had a great deal of sentimental value so she decided to repair it. I was told by a local dealer the part was no longer available.
A quick search of your on-line store and there it was.
The part arrived but the pin hole was slightly smaller than original but was easily drilled to size.
Customer has her machine back and couldn’t be happier.
I bought this for a friend’s very old Elna after diagnosing the damaged pulley but I had to get help to get it installed. The machine is now like new and on its way to a new happy home. I was glad to have access to your store and advice for the right part.
The. friction wheel is the part I needed. When it is back together I’ll take a picture and send it.
This machine was my mother’s and has been in storage for over 40 years. I would like to find a repair manual for it. If you know where to get a copy please text me
Thank You

Exactly what I needed for a 1957 Elna supermatic but I did need to drill out the split pin hole a tinny bit for this model, as I had read prior to purchasing.
Friction wheel to my old Elna Supermatic is hard to find. Sewing Parts Online had in stock, and delivered promptly by mail from Canada to Norway. Best regards from Arne!
Received the part $30 with shipping. Put on accurately and correctly. The top of the friction wheel is so poorly made with cheap materials that within 30 minutes of use it crumbled into pieces (the top portion, around the pin). Wasted my time and money. The new friction wheel couldnt be repaired. This companys outsourcing of parts has zero quality control.

Fits well in my Supermatic, but the rubber isn't sticky/grippy enough (i.e., the "friction" part of the friction wheel is lacking), and it can allow the motor to spin without turning the sewing machine's internal mechanisms. I usually have to give the hand wheel a manual boost to get the machine going under motor power. At least actually does allow me to use the machine, and what a wonderful machine it is!
Exactly what I needed to fix my ancient Elna Supermatic (which was my mother's before me). Glad this replacement part is still available, as it seems to be one of the very few parts that can fail (short of the entire machine taking catastophic damage) on these old almost-all-metal workhorses.
