Built-in Needle Threader
Save time and frustration with the built-in needle threader that will have your machine threaded in seconds. The needle threader can be used with a #11 to #16 needle or Blue tipped needles. Struggling to thread your needle is a thing of the past!
Extra-High Presser Foot Lift
The presser foot lifter raises and lowers the presser foot higher than the normal up position for easy removal of the presser feet or to accommodate placing thicker material or heavy fabrics like denim or quilt layers under the foot.
Reverse Lever
Use the reverse stitch lever to secure your stitches. This feature is wonderful at preventing your ends from fraying or unraveling. To use, hold down the reverse stitch lever, and your machine will sew in reverse reinforcing your stitches.

Thread Tension Dial
The ideal tension setting for most fabrics and threads is between 3 and 5. When adjusting needle thread tension, the higher the number, the tighter the needle thread. If your thread tension is too loose or too tight try making slight adjustments with the thread tension dial.
Snap-on Feet
Easily go from one presser foot to the next on the Elna eXplore 240, no screwdriver required! Press the lever to release the presser foot, then to install another one, simply line it up just underneath the foot holder and lower the presser bar.
