Differential Feed | Stitch Length Dial
Easily turn the stitch length dial to shorten or lengthen your stitch. The larger the number, the longer the stitch. For regular sewing, set the stitch length dial at 3 - 3.5. The stitch length can be adjusted from 1 to 5 mm. Position “R” is for rolled and narrow hemmings.
For the differential feed, the dial indicates the ratio between the primary and sub-feed motion. Lower numbers are ideal for delicate fabrics that may pucker, and higher numbers work best on knits, jerseys, and tricots; for regular sewing, set the differential feed dial at 1.0.
Safety First
The Elna eXtend 664PRO is equipped with a safety device preventing the machine from sewing if the presser foot is raised or if the front cover or side cover is open. Ultimately, this prevents accidental operation of the serger during the threading process.
