Juki TL-15 Quilting Machine Details

Juki's TL-15 is the newest model in the TL line, and it is just as impressive as its cousins. The TL-15 is still a single-needle, lockstitch workhorse that is ideal for everyday sewists and quilters who need to finish projects quickly and with professional results. The aluminum casting gives this machine industrial-level strength and lowers the amount of vibration while sewing. Juki's TL-15 Mid-Arm Quilting and Piecing Machine is great for quilters, as it sews easily through multiple bulky layers and heavy fabric. It boasts 1500 stitches per minute, an automatic thread trimmer, knee lifter, and can use several types of industrial presser feet. The extra-large sewing bed accommodates larger projects and quilts, putting less strain on your body while you sew. Although it weighs 25 pounds, it's portable and can be easily packed in a rolling carrier to take with you to quilting retreats and sewing groups.

Thread Tension Scale

The thread tension scale allows you to adjust the tension according to the weight of your thread and the type of fabric being used. This helps to create a more balanced tension. Stitch length, which works in tandem with the thread tension, can easily be changed with the large dial on the front of the machine.

LED Light

LED lighting allows you to sew or quilt for hours on end without the eye strain that's associated with traditional bulbs. This illuminates your project without putting off unsafe heat and lasts substantially longer than traditional sewing machine bulbs.

Even Feed Foot

Automatic Needle Threader

Thread your machine in seconds with the push lever automatic needle threader. This key feature takes out the guesswork, near-misses, and frustration! You can thread your machine in seconds–meaning you can start your projects faster and put less strain on your eyes!

Sub Tension Unit

The improved thread tension system intelligently avoids the return of twisted threads, even when strongly twisted threads are used. This sub unit gives you a more stable stitch tension and eliminates "thread quivering."

Drop Feed Dogs

No need to install a special darning plate to do free motion quilting. The Juki TL-15 has a built-in lever that, when pressed, automatically lowers the feed dogs so you can quickly switch to free-motion quilting or sewing curved stitches.

Knee Lift Lever

This is an essential feature for efficient quilting. Knee lifters allow you to keep both hands on your quilt while using your knee to lift the presser foot; you'll never go back to quilting without one again! With the included knee lifter, the presser foot can be raised as high as 12mm, so that light to heavyweight materials are easily moved in and out of the sewing area.

Speed Control Dial

The Speed Control Dial is handy with detailed quilting, like feathering and stippling, or anytime a fixed speed is required for your sewing techniques. The speed control can be slowed down to 200 stitches per minute or maxed out at 1500 stitches per minute.

Presser Foot Pressure Adjustment

This is a must-have feature for those serious about creating the perfect stitch. This regulator is located on the top of the machine and allows you to adjust the force exerted on your fabric by the presser foot, which improves how your fabric is fed through your machine.

Automatically Stops in Needle Down Position

Needle Up/Down Control

An essential feature for quilters, the needle automatically stops in the down position, preventing your fabric from shifting out of place when pivoting. To move the needle up or down as desired, simply press the needle up/down button. When the button is pressed continuously, the machine sews stitch by stitch at low speed.

Easy Bobbin replacement with sliding plate

The TL-15 features a new bobbin case latch and an enlarged bobbin case area making it easier to remove and replace the side-loading bobbin. This feature allows the user to access the bobbin even with the auxiliary table in place.

REVERSE LEVER

Use the reverse stitch lever on the TL-15 to secure your stitches. This feature is great at stopping your ends from fraying or unraveling. To use this button, hold down the reverse stitch lever, and your machine will sew in reverse and reinforce your stitches.

Automatic Thread Trimmer

Save yourself time and reduce thread waste by using the automatic thread trimmer. When the thread trimmer button is pushed, the machine trims both the bobbin and needle threads simultaneously. The TL-15 uses a thread-trimming mechanism similar to industrial sewing machines, cutting through thick and thin threads without fail. The foot controller may also activate auto thread trimming.

Bobbin Winder

This machine comes with an auto-declutch bobbin winder that makes sewing a breeze. You can keep multiple bobbins on hand, so you have the perfect thread color for every project! The TL-15 uses lightweight L-style aluminum bobbins.
