Gathering Foot #16 is designed for creating gathers in lightweight to medium-weight fabrics, automatically forming soft, even gathers as you sew.

A special indentation in the sole allows you to attach the gathered fabric to a flat layer in one easy step. The fabric to remain flat is guided through the indentation, preventing it from being gathered while the second layer is evenly drawn up.
