The Creative Grids® Alaska Quilt Ruler, designed by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts, makes it easy to cut an impressive variety of shapes and sizes with one versatile quilting tool. Use it to create 45-degree wedges and diamonds, squares, half-square triangles, and the specialized pieces needed for both Alaska and Kaleidoscope blocks. The ruler includes markings for four finished block sizes—9, 10-1/2, 12, and 16 inches—giving you plenty of options for quilts, wall hangings, table toppers, and other patchwork projects.
Made in the USA from high-quality acrylic, the Alaska Ruler features precise, easy-to-read black and white markings for accurate cutting and trimming. Diamond markings along the outside edge help you cut 45-degree diamonds, while the gridded section can be used to cut squares from strips and trim half-square triangles. It also simplifies trimming the triangles and half-diamond sections used in the Alaska block. Creative Grids’ exclusive non-slip grip lets the ruler glide smoothly over fabric as you position it, then holds securely when light pressure is applied to help prevent slipping.
