Aurifil's Mako Cotton Thread is a 2-ply, long staple Egyptian Cotton that has been mercerized to strengthen the thread and give it a lustrous sheen. Mako Cotton thread in 40 weight is slightly thicker than a standard thread making it ideal for topstitching, free motion quilting, embroidery, lacework, and much more. Aurifil Mako Cotton Thread is available in an array of variegated colors, and each spool contains 1094 yards (1000m). This strong, versatile thread can also be used in serging, cross stitching, applique, pantographs, and hand piecing.
