This 4-thread serger features ExtraordinAir® threading, an Automatic Thread Delivery™ System (ATD), an innovative needle threader, 4/3/2 thread serging, a built-in thread cutter, automatic tension, and so much more. ExtraordinAir® Threading
ExtraordinAir instantly takes thread through all loopers with solely a gust of air. Threading has never been so quick, simple, or extraordinary! It is no longer necessary to determine the threading position. All looper threads may be threaded simultaneously or individually with this incredible feature. You will no longer need tweezers on the thread guides; if a looper thread breaks or runs out, simply re-thread it. It is not necessary to follow a specific threading sequence.
Automatic Thread Delivery™ System (ATD)
Set your BLE3ATW-3 serger to the type of stitch you want, and get started! This special edition serger produces a balanced stitch on any fabric with any thread. Go from lightweight fabrics to heavyweight to lofty materials without stopping to make any adjustments.
Built-in Thread Cutter
There is a thread cutter located on the left side of your machine. At the end of a seam, sew off the fabric edge and continue sewing to create a 5-6" (12.5-15cm) thread chain. Bring the thread chain up and from the back to the front through the thread cutter.
Full-Featured Single Unit Differential Feed
By including a single-unit feed dog mechanism, Babylock has elevated the differential feed to new heights. This ensures stronger feeding as well as consistent gathering on all fabrics. When the differential feed adjusting lever, located at the machine's right front edge, is set on "N" for regular feeding, the feed dogs move the same distance. For most materials and applications, this is the appropriate setting to use. The front feed dog will feed more material than the rear when the differential feed lever is set above "N," and the opposite will occur when it is set below "N."
Advanced Knife Driving and One-Way Clutch System
With its extra-high presser foot, Advanced Knife Driving, and One-Way Clutch System, your serger has a larger cutting bite that easily cuts thicker fabric and increases visibility.
EXCLUSIVE WAVE STITCH
The Wave Stitch opens your world to more decorative stitches for more creativity. This stitch provides a decorative "wavy" edging on fabric. (not to be confused with the "lettuce edge") Try different thread colors and stitch widths to serge a one-of-a-kind creation effortlessly. When combining decorative threads for the Wave stitch, please test on a sample of the fabric you will be sewing on before applying the Wave stitch.
