I for the first time in my 60+ years of sewing, put a scratch on the needle plate of my new Baby Lock Zeal. I managed to sand it down with a nail emery board to where it was safe to sew heavy cottons and denims, but didn't want to sew any delicate fabrics on it so I immediately opened Sewing Parts Online website hunting for the new needle plate. I found the Janome needle plate and the company promised it would fit my Baby Lock Zeal. It arrived in about 3 days and it looked like an exact duplicate of the needle plate on my Zeal so I removed the old needle plate and installed the new needle plate. Ta Da! It was a perfect fit. When I need accessories or parts for my sewing machines I come to Sewing Parts Online. I even found the rubber tire for the bobbin winder on my 1958 Vintage 403a Singer sewing machine. The lady that took my order was very knowledgeable. I gave her my machine name and number, she looked it up and told me that she could get my part. She also told me that it was not in stock, and she would have it sent to me as soon as possible. Within a week I had the part. It was the right part and I installed it on my 89 year old sisters machine. I will be buying from y'all again..
I am very pleased with my new needle plate. I like it better than the one that came with my sewing machine as it has seam allowance measurements on both sides of the feed dog.
Overall fit well. Be advised this plate has a metal bar that fits across the bobbin case. On my Kenmore, this metal piece prevented the bobbin case lid from closing all the way. I had to unscrew it and replace it with the configuration from my old needle plate to make it fit (a nightmare because those screws are TINY). Once that was done the needle plate fit well and looked great.
