I was delighted to find this part online. The local Bernina dealer has no interest in working on my 35 year old machine, so fixing it myself is a good thing. Once I saw how the racer pieces were assembled, I was able to put the old one back on, but kept the new part for the inevitable.
Fits perfect. Was able to fix my machine and start sewing again.
My Bernina has seen many days and one time while cleaning the race cover �fell apart�. I tried putting things back like they were supposed to be, there wasn�t enough bobbin tension and my stitches were �off�. I hesitated to take it in because I knew it would be close to $100 for them just to look at. The part didn�t look too complicated so I was excited when I found it at Sewing Parts online. It came in a few days and installation was a matter of removing two screws and replacing them in the new part. The most difficulty I had was finding an appropriate screwdriver and removing two �original parts� screws.
Fast shipping, well packaged. Part was easy to replace, though a magnetic ended screwdriver would have been most helpful. Take your time and save the money from the servicing rep. Thank you!
