No to load lead. Searched sites until I found video. Mine will not accept and/or advance lead. Does not click to advance lead. Tried everything. I Rarely use this word, but I hate it.

There are no directions on how to get the chalk into the holder! Have broken one piece trying!

I want to love this product, it was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately after ten minutes of use the plastic clasp that holds the chalk in the pen sort of fell down in the pen and was stuck. Because of this I was not able to click on it to advance the chalk. So now I need to figure out if I can get the tip off and pull that clasp back out. 😕

No instructions on package. Finally figured out you have to remove the eraser cap, insert the chalk rod and plunge it with the enclosed plastic rod (each time you need to extend the chalk!) Nothing mechanical about it. Did like the thin chalk. Would not buy again.

I have looked all over for this type of chalk but could not find it anywhere in my local area. Love it.
A wonderful marking tool!
This is so useful. Has way more nibs than I'll probably ever use, sewing like 4-6 projects a year. It's hard to use on stretchy and slippery fabric, but is usable on Jersey.
I am very pleased with the chalk marking pen with the variety of chalk colors.
Hoping these work for marking. Gave up on all the rest of my marking pencils that don't mark!
