This product will not fit my Brother machine that I ordered it for, but it may come in handy for my newer Brother machine, so I will keep it. I'm not sure where the confusion about the product happened since I did specify Brother XL 3022 sewing machine. I would still like to have the spool that would work with this machine.
I ordered it to fix my sewing machine. This part looks just like the part on the YouTube video that I watched. I have not installed it yet. I will have to find someone to do that for me. But I'm glad I have the part. It's very obscure I did not think I would be able to find it but you guys had it.

The part is a perfect replacement for the original which had broken off. Be prepared that the removal of the old part may require physically cutting the pivot pin out of the plastic base. Be careful not to damage the pin. Once that is done, reuse the pin to install the new part.
I wish replacing the part was as easy as buying it on your website.

Bought this for my Brother XL-6562. While the product fit, it did not sit correctly when lowered into place. I had to trim some of the plastic under the pivot point in order to get the pin to sit right.

This spool pin broke within a month of owning my Brother PC-1800 machine which I bought in 1996. I super glued it and have worked with it until 2021, when it broke in two places. I bought extra spool pins this time. It was a challenge to figuring out how to remove the sewing machine cover and spool pin clip to replace the new spool pin, but it works GREAT. I should have replaced it sooner
