The tool guides you through building each round with two skinny strips and two wide strips, creating striking movement while keeping the construction process organized. Strip widths and center-square measurements are printed directly on the tool, so the information you need stays close at hand as you sew.
Each round of logs is trimmed before the next is added, helping every completed block finish at a consistent size. To trim, align the appropriate centering square over the block’s center square and cut two sides. Rotate both the block and tool, then use the second centering square for that round to trim the final two sides. I had much better luck with my omnigrid rulers. I will not order creative grids again because the black lines are faint and hard to see on dark fabrics.
