Great ability to “see” size of fabric when Foundation Paper-piecing quits. Even this dark fabric easily shows a mistake in the edging that can be adjusted before sewn. Light has 3 settings to adjust to your comfort level. Really happy with this product!
While I would have liked using a lightbox without being teathered to a USB cord, a lithium-ion battery tends to scare me to use in the home. So, I opted for the one that requires plugging in to use. But it's very spacious at about a 17x12 lighted area. The cutting mat still has a strong plastic odor even a week or so later out of the box, but I love that it's translucent. I also got the glass mat, which I feel further protects the surface. I will use it primarily for foundation paper piecing and tracing hand applique patterns. The pricing was fair with prompt delivery. Love this store ever since Bob caught my attention in his videos. 😊

I love to trace over printed text to make quilt labels. I always used a bright window before, but the Cutterpillar light board is much easier, able to be used at night, and keeps everything straight and centered. My quilt labels are faster, easier, and more accurate now! I've also used it to trace applique templates, and will likely be trying that more now, too. I'm also looking forward to trying it with FPP. Love the adjustable light levels. I got the mounting magnets, too, and highly recommend them!
