The Decorative Trim Foot makes it simple to embellish your projects with a variety of trims. It effortlessly guides ribbon, cord, and other decorative elements through the front opening and along the groove beneath the foot—helping you stitch them in place with precision and style.

How to Use:

1. Thread Your Machine Use regular or decorative thread for the top thread and standard sewing thread in the bobbin.
2. Choose Your Stitch Select a straight, zigzag, or decorative stitch—just avoid stitches with excessive forward-backward or side-to-side motion.

Tip: For 6mm wide trims, try using a 6mm twin needle with a straight stitch. It’ll sew cleanly along both edges of the trim for a beautifully balanced finish.


3. Position the Trim Slide your trim into the foot, following the guide shown in your machine’s manual or reference image.
4. Attach the Foot Snap on the Decorative Trim Foot securely.
5. Engage the IDT™ System If your machine has an Integrated Dual Feed system, activate it to help feed both fabric and trim evenly.
6. Stitch Slowly and Smoothly Sew at a controlled pace—use the “sew slow” function if available. You may also want to use stabilizer underneath the fabric for added support.
7. Choose the Right Trim For the best results, stick to flat, smooth trims like silk, velvet, satin, or cotton ribbons.
