Pattern Selection Dial | Stitch Length Dial | Stitch Width Dial
Along the front of the machine are three dials that enable you to choose your pattern selection, stitch length, and width. These dials are easily adjustable to create perfectly balanced stitches based on your fabric type and weight. Choose a stitch pattern of your choice and easily modify the stitch length and width. Refer to your manual for recommended stitch length and width ranges for specific stitch patterns.
Presser Foot Lifter
The Elna eXplore 130 is equipped with a presser foot lifter that raises the presser foot 1/4" (0.6 cm) higher than the normal up position. Making way for easy removal of the snap-on feet and accommodating layered or thicker fabric underneath the foot.
Thread Tension Dial
The thread tension is adjusted depending on the sewing material, layers of fabric, and sewing technique. The ideal tension setting for most fabrics and threads is between 3 and 5. When adjusting needle thread tension, the higher the number, the tighter the needle thread. If your thread tension is too loose or too tight, try making slight adjustments with the thread tension dial.
Reverse Lever
Use the reverse stitch lever to secure your stitches. Whether you have multiple layers or just regular stitches that you want to keep safe, the reverse stitch helps keep your ends from fraying or unraveling. Hold down the reverse stitch lever, and your machine will sew in reverse, reinforcing your stitches.
