I have an Elna Excellence 730. I am a quilter and do a lot of start-stop sewing. I think I burnt through the original foot control after 3 years, replaced it, and it lasted another 5 years, and now have replaced it again. The LED screen shows, when you turn on the machine, that it is or isn't recognizing the foot pedal. For a while, I unpluged then repluged the foot pedal connector, and that took care of it. Finally, I realized that the foot pedal itself wasn't making consistent contact. This new generic foot pedal fit the machine perfectly, and makes a steady, consistent contact, every time. Sometimes you just have to replace a part that isn't working. Very reasonable price and made well. I've been using it for two weeks now. I'm very satisfied.

The new sewing pedal worked great on my Janome sewing machine and was the solution to my repair. After sitting in my closet unused for over 2 years I decided to use ChatGPT to evaluate why my old pedal would stop working after a few minutes of sewing. It suggested several test to run to determine whether it was the pedal or the motherboard or the jack the pedal inserts into. Bingo! After running the test the pedal seemed to be the solution. I now have my little Janome working again.
