I had overtightened and stripped out the screw in my SQ14 hoop. I swapped out the screw from one of the other hoops but that gets old. This fits perfectly and I got a couple of extras in case it happens again.

My machine is an Elna 9020 (not made anymore). In August 2006 the Janome Sewing Machine Company Ltd, in Tokyo, Japan acquired the worldwide operations of Elna International Corporation SA, Switzerland. I made an incorrect assumption that most Embroidery Hoop Screws were the same diameter and purchased the Janome screws for my Elna hoop. They are not. This Janome screw diameter is larger than the nut's diameter and will not feed through my hoop's screw openings. Therefore, although the product probably would receive 5 stars, the one star is for my incorrect assumption. It might be a good idea to consider listing the dimensions of things like these to decrease the time (on both sides) needed to correct problems like these. I sent an email to see if I could exchange these oversized screws for a smaller diameter screw that would fit the nuts that I purchased. No response as yet.

The screw does not fit in the nut and the screw is also too big for my hoops. Guess I ordered the wrong ones. I would like to return these screws and nuts. Not sure how to tell they fit. I have a Janome Memory Craft 350E.
