I am refurbishing a vintage New Home 556 that came with the knee control from having been in a cabinet -- will mod/ use that part later but was able to (quickly!!) locate and receive this foot control that my "engineery" husband figured out how to rewire onto the machine!! Works great!!(after we figured out which direction to put in the motor plug into the control in order to have the polarity correct) ((see "engineery" husband comment lol))

Foot Control with Cord, Light, and Motor Block (110/120V) #FCD-143

I had previously bought from Sewing Parts Online the same cord, bit without the foot controller, to use with my 1920 Singer 66. It worked great, but I decided to replace it with the complete assembly, because the old foot controller gets hot. It was easier to get the complete unit rather than just the foot controller (for only $5.00 more), than to hook up the foot controller.

This product does not connect to my XL 5130 Brother sewing machine. I also needed the part that connects directly into the sewing machine. Needed the pedal and connection to the sewing machine. I can send back this pedal. Do you have what I need?

Foot Control with Cord, Light, and Motor Block (110/120V) #FCD-143

When my machine failed and had to go into the shop, I pulled out my mother's machine to see if I could get it working. It was working like a champ when the old wiring to the motor shorted. I ordered a new motor. Which fit the machine perfectly out of the box, by the way, but would only run at one speed. Further investigation revealed that when the wiring shirted it damaged the rheostat in the control pedal and the wiring to it and the control block was brittle. So this variable control assembly fixed the problem. Each of the two packages arrived at my house within 2 to 3 days during the pandemic and got me back into facemask production quickly.

Remarkably cheap feeling pedal. I was totally surprised buy how thin and flimsy it seems- however it functions properly. The pedal is very very light and you will find yourself chasing it until you tie the cord to the chair leg or whatever you come up with.
