Sewing half square triangles has been difficult because my vision is not the best. In addition, when working with 2 1/2” squares, I have difficulty because of their small size. I measure first the required distance from the needle and mark that with these strips in a parallel fashion using two or three to form a long strip. They are especially helpful for 1/8” and 3/8” seams, not common for quilters.

Love my quarter inch foot. I should have purchased it a long time ago. I also like the seam tape.
These things are great! I have several doo-dads to help me maintain accurate 1/4" seams, but this one is by far the most helpful.

seams are a lot straighter and consistently the same width, just shy of 1/4". My blocks look much better
I use these guides all of the time for a perfect seam allowance.
I stumbled upon these several years ago and now they are my favorite seam guide. You can position them where it works best for you. I use them on my little Singer Featherweight as well as my fancy electronic machines. The adhesive sticks well but they are easily removeable as well. Love these things!
An old standby for quilt piecing. I do remember seam guides that had attractive prints that made the tape guides more fun to use. But this plain tape is functional.
