The Clearance Plate, also known as a seam jumper, is a handy tool for smoother sewing over uneven areas. Use it to create a thread shank when attaching buttons, with two different thicknesses to choose from for a shorter or taller shank. It can also be placed behind or in front of the presser foot when sewing over bulky seams, helping balance the foot height for more even feeding and cleaner stitches.
