There is nothing that you did wrong. Earlier in the year, I ordered a walking foot for my Viking machine but the standard screw that holds the presser foot on the bar is too short to hold the walking foot on the bar. (The walking foot did NOT come with a screw.) I was hoping that the machine needle screw would be the right size but it is not. (The threads on the machine needle screw start too far back for the screw to hold the foot in place.) I would like to return this part but more importantly, what do you suggest that I do? The walking foot is useless without a screw to hold it in place.
