The hole on the foot is great for 1/4 inch seams. I love the size and how it holds the fabric down well while going through the machine.
I have already used this foot to put the binding on a quilt. It was a smooth ride. This foot easily went through all the layers and did a nice job with the straight stitch!

I heard rave reviews of this foot from an online group, so decided to buy one for myself, and I was not disappointed. Like the other quilters who recommended the foot, I will probably leave it on the machine most of the time. I might add that this item was considerably cheaper than the dealership price.
I am using this foot with my Janome 15000 it works great and very accurate Quarter inch seams. Love it.
I have not tried it as yet, but it's what I wanted.

Nice straight stitch
I was surprised that I had to insert the foot into the shank but it works fine. Seems to sew that scant 1/4 inch consistently.
Acufeed Straight Stitch Foot HP2 (for a (9mm), Janome machine makes sewing a scant 1/4 inches seam much easier. The stitch is more consistent without having to adjust the needle position to get a perfect scant 1/4 inches seam.

This is the second HP2 foot I have purchased. The first one was a dud and the spring broke (I think). It would not stay engaged and would not feed through properly. This one is much better and hopefully it will last longer. For the price we pay for these feet they should have a lifetime guarantee.
