Janome Artistic Edge Digital Cutter Details
Spend more time creating and less time cutting with Janome's Artistic Edge Digital Cutter. With the Artistic Edge Digital Cutter, 12" or 15", the design possibilities are endless. You can use this machine for paper crafting (scrapbooking), quilting, embellishing, and apparel. It comes loaded with 3,500 designs, but you can also import art or create your own if you want something more unique. Create custom shapes and one-step appliques, or cut full sheets of fabric for piecing without using rotary cutters.
Also included with the Artistic Edge Digital Cutter is the Artistic SimpleCut Software. This software was designed with crafters in mind. This unique program allows you to create your own designs for cutting a wide variety of materials, including cardstock, paper, rhinestone templates, stencils, iron-on vinyl, fabric, and more. It can also auto-trace designs, auto-border imported images, convert existing embroidery designs to appliqué, create custom rhinestone fills for your next project, and so much more.
File Types
The SimpleCut software that's included with the Artistic Edge accepts multiple designs and cut files. SimpleCut can import the following file types: .ai / .draw / .eps / .jpg / .png / .svg. To see a full list of file types, check out the user's guide here.
3500 BUILT-IN DESIGNS
Never run out of things to make with the included 3500 designs. Choose from animals, florals, geometrics, shapes, and more. Also, don't forget that you can create and upload your own artwork.
Model Comparison
Janome's Artistic Edge Digital Cutter, 15" and 12", are very similar, but the true difference lies in their cutting area and PC connectivity. The 15" Artistic Edge offers you three extra inches of cutting space, which is great if you plan on creating large designs. It also offers Bluetooth capabilities, but both machines include a USB cable to connect to your computer. Please note that both machines come with a high and low tack mat, but the 12" has smaller cutting mats than the 15".
