I have the Janome HP foot and plate for an accurate 1/4” seam but this foot with guide is very nice. If I have to switch foot without wanting to switch plate, I use this one and it gives me perfect seam allowance.

This foot does not make a 1/4 inch seam, closer to 3/8"
It fit my machine just right, but I would have to adjust the needle placement for a 1/4" seam. I do not want to do that everytime. So it's not really what I thought it would be

I was hoping this would work. However, this is a 3/8" seam foot, not 1/4". I told the company this, but then proceeded to tell me it would not fit my machine! They never said what model it did or didn't fit. Doesn't matter, it's still not a 1/4" seam foot. Do, I sent it cake for a refund, at my own expense. Nice product, but can't use it.
